To reach the River Road Historic District from downtown Jacksonville, start at the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) bus terminal located at 121 W Forsyth St. Take the bus number 7 towards Orange Park. The bus will take approximately 30 minutes to reach the Orange Park area. Get off at the stop nearest to the intersection of Kingsley Ave and Park Ave. From there, it's a short walk east along Kingsley Ave until you reach the River Road Historic District.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many bike-sharing stations in Jacksonville. Start at the Jacksonville Riverwalk on the Northbank and head south towards the Main St Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue onto the Southbank Riverwalk. Follow the signs leading to the Orange Park area via the Riverwalk and then navigate through the local streets towards Kingsley Ave. The River Road Historic District will be accessible from there.

Walk north on Wells Rd until you reach Kingsley Ave. Turn right onto Kingsley Ave and continue walking for about 1.5 miles. You'll find the River Road Historic District on your left. Be sure to enjoy the local sights along the way.
