Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach Long Key State Park from Key Largo, you can take the public bus service (Route 301) operated by the Florida Keys Transit. Start by heading to the nearest bus stop on the Overseas Highway (US-1). The bus operates several times a day, so check the schedule for exact times. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the stop near Long Key State Park. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles along the highway towards the park entrance.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Key Largo. Once you have your bike, head southwest on the Overseas Highway (US-1). The ride to Long Key State Park is about 17 miles and takes approximately 1-2 hours, depending on your pace. Be aware of traffic and use the bike lane when available. The park has a designated entrance where you can lock your bike.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and up for a long walk, you can head towards Long Key State Park on foot. Starting from the center of Key Largo, walk south on the Overseas Highway (US-1). The distance is approximately 17 miles, which can take around 5-6 hours, so be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. Ensure you walk facing oncoming traffic for safety. Follow the signs to Long Key State Park when you get closer.
