From your location in Key Largo, head south on US-1 toward the Florida Keys. After about 15 miles, turn left onto Card Sound Road. Continue on Card Sound Road for approximately 5 miles until you reach the entrance of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. There, you can park your bike and enjoy the scenic views. The Nine Mile Pond Trailhead is just a short walk from the parking area.

Catch the Miami-Dade Transit Bus Route 38 from any bus stop in Key Largo heading toward Miami. You will need to transfer at the Homestead bus terminal. From there, take the Route 31 bus towards Florida City. Get off at the stop closest to the entrance of the Everglades National Park. The Nine Mile Pond Trail is approximately a 10-minute walk from there. Follow the signs to the park entrance.

If you are staying in a nearby hotel, ask the receptionist for directions to US-1. Walk south along US-1 until you reach Card Sound Road. This may take about 1.5 to 2 hours of walking. Once you reach Card Sound Road, continue walking until you see the entrance to the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. The Nine Mile Pond Trailhead is a short walk from the parking area.
