Getting There

    If you are in the vicinity of Key Largo's hotels or tourist areas, head towards the nearest bus stop on the US-1 highway. The Royal Palm Visitor Center is approximately 15 miles south of the main Key Largo area. Walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the Miami-Dade Transit Bus route 38, which heads towards the Florida City area. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Royal Palm Visitor Center, and they will let you know when you are getting close. Once you reach the stop closest to the Visitor Center, walk about 0.5 miles west along Card Sound Road until you see the entrance to the Royal Palm Visitor Center on your right.

    For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle at one of the local rental shops in Key Largo. From the center of Key Largo, take the bike path along US-1 heading south towards the Royal Palm Visitor Center. The distance is about 15 miles and will take approximately 1 hour to bike.
