If you are starting from the Southernmost Point Buoy, head west on South Street toward Whitehead Street. Continue on South Street until it intersects with Simonton Street, then turn right. Walk until you reach the intersection with Caroline Street and turn left. Continue straight until you reach the end of Caroline Street, where it meets Fort Street. Here, you will see the entrance to Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. Enter the park and follow the signs to Battery Adair.

From Duval Street, head south toward the southernmost point of the island. Once at the Southernmost Point Buoy, take South Street all the way to the intersection with Simonton Street.
