Getting There

• Walking

  If you're already in South Beach, Ocean Drive is easily accessible by foot. Start by heading towards Collins Avenue, one of the main streets in South Beach. Depending on your starting point, walk towards the intersection of Collins Ave and 5th Street. Once you reach this intersection, turn east and walk straight along 5th Street until you reach Ocean Drive. The beach will be on your right, and you will see the iconic pastel-colored Art Deco buildings lining Ocean Drive. This walk should take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Bicycle

  Another enjoyable way to reach Ocean Drive is by bicycle. You can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations available in South Beach. Locate the nearest bike station and rent a bike (costs typically around $4 for a 30-minute ride). Once you have your bike, head towards Alton Road and ride south until you reach 15th Street. Turn left on 15th Street, and continue until you hit Ocean Drive. This route is scenic and allows you to experience more of South Beach's vibrant atmosphere. Expect this ride to take around 10-20 minutes.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  If you prefer to take public transportation, the Miami Beach Trolley is a convenient option. Locate the nearest trolley stop (the Trolleys are free of charge). Board the South Beach Loop trolley and ride towards the stop at 5th Street and Alton Road. Once you disembark, walk east along 5th Street until you reach Ocean Drive. This journey may take around 15-25 minutes, including waiting times.

• Electric Scooter

  You can also use electric scooters, which are available for rent throughout South Beach. Download an app like Lime or Bird to find a nearby scooter (typically costs around $1 to unlock and $0.15 per minute). Once you have a scooter, head towards Collins Avenue, then take a left on 5th Street. Scoot straight down to Ocean Drive. It should take you around 5-10 minutes to reach your destination.
