Car
From any location in Nature Coast, head towards Interstate 75 (I-75) South. Use the exit for Daniels Parkway (Exit 131) and turn left onto Daniels Parkway. Continue until you reach the intersection with Summerlin Road and turn right. Follow Summerlin Road until it merges into Sanibel Causeway, the toll bridge that leads to Sanibel Island. There is a toll fee of $6.00 per car (as of 2023). After crossing the bridge, continue straight onto Periwinkle Way. The Sanibel Lighthouse will be on your right at 112 Periwinkle Way. There is a parking area available near the lighthouse.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, first take a bus from Nature Coast to Fort Myers. You can use the LeeTran service, which has routes connecting to various parts of Lee County. From Fort Myers, catch the LeeTran Route 50 bus that goes to the Sanibel Island area. Once you arrive at Sanibel Island, you may need to walk or use a local taxi service to reach the Sanibel Lighthouse at 112 Periwinkle Way. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary and some routes may not operate on weekends.
