Getting There

  • Car

    From anywhere in Sanibel Island, head west on Periwinkle Way toward Tarpon Bay Road. Continue straight onto Tarpon Bay Road until you reach the causeway. Cross over the Sanibel Causeway, and follow the signs for US-41 S. Merge onto US-41 S and continue for about 10 miles. Take the exit for Bonita Beach Road and turn left. Continue on Bonita Beach Road until you reach Barefoot Beach Blvd. Turn right onto Barefoot Beach Blvd, and you will find Barefoot Beach County Preserve at 505 Barefoot Beach Blvd on your left.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, you can catch the LeeTran bus (Route 150) from Sanibel Island to the transfer station in Fort Myers. From there, switch to Route 50, which goes towards Bonita Springs. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Bonita Beach Road and Barefoot Beach Blvd. Walk about 0.5 miles west on Bonita Beach Road, and then turn right onto Barefoot Beach Blvd. Continue walking, and you will arrive at Barefoot Beach County Preserve at 505 Barefoot Beach Blvd.
