Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from central Sarasota Beaches, start by heading south on US-41 S (Tamiami Trail). Continue on US-41 S for about 1.5 miles. Then, turn left onto S. Orange Ave and follow it for about 0.5 miles until you reach the traffic circle. Take the first exit onto Ringling Blvd. After about 1 mile, continue straight onto Bird Key Dr. Follow Bird Key Dr until you arrive at Bird Key Park located at 761 FL-789. There is free parking available at the park.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Bird Key Park via public transportation, catch Route 99 of the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus from any location along the Sarasota Beaches. Ride the bus towards downtown Sarasota and get off at the stop near US-41 S. From there, you can either walk 1 mile (approximately 20 minutes) or transfer to Route 5, which will take you closer to Bird Key Park. The total fare for the bus ride is $1.25 per trip.

• Bicycle

  If you're an avid cyclist, you can bike to Bird Key Park from anywhere in Sarasota Beaches. Use the bike lanes along US-41 S or the streets around the area. There are bike racks available at the park for secure parking. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules. This option allows you to enjoy the scenic views along the way.

  If you are staying nearby, walking to Bird Key Park can be a pleasant experience. From the nearest popular hotel or beach area, simply head towards Bird Key Dr. It's about a 15-30 minute walk depending on your starting point.
