If you're driving from central Sarasota Beaches, start by heading south on US-41 S (Tamiami Trail). Continue on US-41 S for about 1.5 miles. Then, turn left onto S. Orange Ave and follow it for about 0.5 miles until you reach the traffic circle. Take the first exit onto Ringling Blvd. After about 1 mile, continue straight onto Bird Key Dr. Follow Bird Key Dr until you arrive at Bird Key Park located at 761 FL-789. There is free parking available at the park.

To reach Bird Key Park via public transportation, catch Route 99 of the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus from any location along the Sarasota Beaches. Ride the bus towards downtown Sarasota and get off at the stop near US-41 S. From there, you can either walk 1 mile (approximately 20 minutes) or transfer to Route 5, which will take you closer to Bird Key Park. The total fare for the bus ride is $1.25 per trip.
