To get to Jim Neville Marine Preserve from downtown Sarasota, start by heading to the Sarasota Bus Terminal located at 1590 2nd St. Take the Route 99 bus heading towards Siesta Key. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Siesta Key Village stop. From there, walk south on Ocean Blvd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Midnight Pass Rd. Continue walking east for another 0.3 miles until you reach the entrance to Jim Neville Marine Preserve on Little Sarasota Bay.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops near downtown Sarasota. Head south on US-41 (Tamiami Trail) until you reach Stickney Point Rd. Turn left onto Stickney Point Rd and continue until you reach the intersection with Midnight Pass Rd. Then turn right and follow Midnight Pass Rd until you see the signs for Jim Neville Marine Preserve. The ride will take about 25-30 minutes, depending on your pace.
