Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Downtown Sarasota, head towards Main Street and walk west. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail). Cross U.S. 41 carefully at the crosswalk. After crossing, turn left and walk south along the east side of U.S. 41. You will pass several shops and restaurants on your way. Continue until you reach Mound Street (approximately 0.5 miles). Turn right onto Mound Street and walk for about 0.2 miles. The entrance to Marie Selby Botanical Gardens will be on your left at 1534 Mound St.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from a local bike rental service in Downtown Sarasota. Once you have your bike, head west on Main Street until you reach U.S. 41. Turn left onto U.S. 41 and ride south. After a short ride of about 0.5 miles, turn right onto Mound Street. Continue biking for about 0.2 miles, and the entrance to Marie Selby Botanical Gardens will be on your left at 1534 Mound St. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.

• Public Transport

  If you prefer public transportation, look for the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus services. You can catch the Route 4 bus at a nearby bus stop in Downtown Sarasota. Ensure to check the bus schedule as it may vary. Ride the bus towards Mound Street for approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the Mound Street stop closest to the Botanical Gardens. From there, it is a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the entrance at 1534 Mound St. The bus fare is typically around $1.25 per ride.
