If you're travelling by car, start by getting onto I-75 South. Depending on where you're starting from in Southwest Florida, you may need to navigate local roads to reach I-75. Once on I-75, continue south until you reach Exit 191 for FL-776 toward Englewood. Take FL-776 west and follow the signs towards Englewood. After about 10 miles, turn right onto S River Rd. Continue on S River Rd for about 2 miles, and Myakka State Forest will be on your left at 2000 S River Rd, Englewood, FL 34223. Parking is available on-site, but there may be a small entrance fee of $6 per car.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus through the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) system. Start by locating the nearest SCAT bus stop and take Bus Route 17 towards Englewood.
