Car
If you are driving, start from Cocoa Beach. Head northwest on N Atlantic Ave toward FL-520 W. Continue on FL-520 W and merge onto FL-528 W toward Orlando. Take exit 49 for Merritt Island. Continue onto Merritt Island Causeway and follow the signs for S Tropical Trail. Turn left onto S Tropical Trail and then right onto Pine Island Rd. The Pine Island Conservation Area will be on your left at 1655 Pine Island Rd, Merritt Island, FL 32953.

Public Transportation
To reach Pine Island Conservation Area via public transportation, take the Space Coast Area Transit bus route 9 from Cocoa Beach to Merritt Island. Get off at the Merritt Island Mall. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles (25-30 minutes) to the conservation area. Head south on S Courtenay Pkwy, then turn right onto Pine Island Rd. The conservation area entrance will be on your right at 1655 Pine Island Rd, Merritt Island, FL 32953. Note that bus fare is around $1.00 per ride.

If you prefer cycling, starting from Cocoa Beach, you can take the scenic route via the Banana River. Follow the bike path along S Atlantic Ave to the Merritt Island Causeway. Once you reach Merritt Island, head south on S Tropical Trail and then right onto Pine Island Rd. The conservation area is approximately 8 miles from Cocoa Beach, so plan for about 45-60 minutes of cycling time.
