If you are starting from the historic downtown area of St. Augustine, head east on King Street towards the waterfront. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Menendez. Turn left onto Avenida Menendez and follow the waterfront. You will pass by the Castillo de San Marcos on your right. Continue walking along Avenida Menendez until you reach the intersection with the A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway. Turn right onto A1A, and the Bridge of Lions will be on your left after a short walk.

From downtown St. Augustine, locate the nearest bus stop for the St. Johns County Transit system. Take the 'Green Line' bus heading towards the Anastasia Island route. After approximately 15 minutes, disembark at the stop closest to the Bridge of Lions. Walk a short distance to the west along A1A, and you will arrive at the Bridge of Lions.
