Driving
From downtown Fort Pierce, head east on Orange Avenue (CR 68) towards US-1. Turn north onto US-1 and continue for approximately 1.7 miles. Turn right onto A1A (North Causeway) and cross the bridge over the Indian River Lagoon. After crossing the causeway, the entrance to Fort Pierce Inlet State Park will be on your right. Jack Island Preserve is managed as part of the State Park. Follow the park road to the parking area. Parking fee is $6 per vehicle.
Walking
If you are near the Fort Pierce City Marina, walk north along A1A (North Causeway). Follow the sidewalk across the causeway bridge, enjoying views of the Indian River Lagoon. Once across the bridge, the entrance to Fort Pierce Inlet State Park will be on your right. Continue along the park road to access the Jack Island footbridge. Note that the walk from the marina is approximately 2 miles and there are no sidewalks within the park itself.
