  • Hiking from Lac Besson

    Drive towards Alpe d'Huez and follow the road over the Col du Poutran to the Lac Besson parking area. From the parking area, hike towards the refuge. The path is relatively flat until the Alpette fork, after which it ascends to the refuge. Be aware that parking at Lac Besson is limited to approximately 15 spaces and is prohibited between 11 PM and 6 AM. Shuttle buses are recommended due to parking restrictions. There are no parking fees, but bus fares vary.

  • Hiking from Bessey

    Experienced hikers can start from the hamlet of Bessey in Oz en Oisans, following trail numbers 232 and 262. This is a challenging 4-hour hike with over 1000m of elevation gain. Ensure you have appropriate hiking experience and gear.
