Walking
If you are starting from the Annecy train station (Gare d'Annecy), exit the station and head northwest on Rue de la Gare. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Rue des Maréchaux. Turn left onto Rue des Maréchaux and walk for another 300 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue de Genève. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for the Old Town (Vieille Ville) of Annecy ahead. Follow the signs to the Old Town, which is about 1.5 kilometers away. As you walk through the charming streets, you will eventually reach the canals of the Old Town. Continue walking until you reach the Palais de l'Isle, a historic building surrounded by water. From there, follow the Rue de la Confédération, heading towards Geneva.

Public Transport
From the Annecy train station, take Bus Line 2 towards 'Cran-Gevrier' and get off at the 'Jean Jaurès' stop. This journey will take about 5 minutes. From the bus stop, walk northeast for about 700 meters along Rue de la Confédération until you reach Fontaine de l’Escalade, located at Rue de la Confédération 4. The area is easily recognizable and should be a pleasant walk through the city.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations around Annecy. Start from the Annecy train station and head west on Rue de la Gare. Continue straight for about 600 meters, then turn left onto Rue des Maréchaux. After 300 meters, take a right at the roundabout onto Avenue de Genève. Ride straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Old Town. From there, follow the signs toward Rue de la Confédération, which is approximately 1.5 kilometers away. The bike ride will take you through some beautiful scenery, and you'll arrive at Fontaine de l’Escalade in no time.
