Walking
If you're starting from the Annecy train station (Gare d'Annecy), exit the station and head east on Rue de la Gare. Continue straight until you reach the main road, Avenue de Genève. Turn right onto Avenue de Genève, and walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the central part of Annecy. From there, follow signs towards the lake and the old town. Once you reach the lake, head south towards the Pont des Amours bridge, then cross over the bridge. After crossing, follow the path along the lake and you will enter the old town where you can find numerous signs directing you to the main attractions. Keep walking straight through the charming streets and eventually you will arrive at Place de Neuve.

Public Transport
From the Annecy train station (Gare d'Annecy), you can take Bus Line 2 (Direction: Cran-Gevrier). Board the bus and ride for about 5 stops, getting off at the 'Hotel de Ville' stop. From there, walk straight ahead on Rue de la République until you reach the main square. Follow the signs to the old town and the lake. Keep walking south through the beautiful streets of Annecy until you reach Place de Neuve.

For those who wish to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from various rental shops around Annecy. Start from the city center and head towards the lake. Follow the bike path along the lake’s edge, enjoying the scenic views. Continue cycling until you reach the area of the old town. You can park your bike in designated bike racks near the entrance to the old town. Once parked, follow the signs through the picturesque streets until you reach Place de Neuve.
