Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto the A62 motorway. Depending on your starting point, you may need to take local roads to reach the motorway. Once on the A62, head towards Bordeaux. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit for D113 toward Langon. Continue on D113 for about 10 kilometers until you reach Auros. Follow signs for Le Rivet. The abbey is located in Le Rivet, 33124 Auros. There is ample parking available at the site.

• Public Transportation (Train + Bus)

  To reach Abbaye Sainte Marie du Rivet using public transportation, first take a train from Bordeaux to Langon. The train journey takes approximately 30 minutes and trains run frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive at Langon train station, you will need to take a local bus (Ligne 5) towards Auros. The bus ride will take about 25 minutes. Make sure to check the current bus schedule as it may vary. Get off at the stop closest to Le Rivet, and walk to the abbey, which is well signposted. Note that train tickets from Bordeaux to Langon typically cost around €7-€10.
