Discover more about Château du Taillan

Located in Taillan-Médoc, Château du Taillan is more than just a winery; it's a historical monument with a rich family history. The estate dates back to the Middle Ages and was purchased by Henri Cruse in 1896. Today, the château is managed by his five granddaughters, who represent the fourth generation of the Cruse family. Their feminine touch has helped the estate evolve and renew itself over time. The 30-hectare vineyard produces a Cru Bourgeois, and it is one of the few estates in Médoc that produces an excellent white wine made from 100% Sauvignon, known as 'La Dame Blanche'. The estate also holds the Haute Valeur Environnementale Niveau 3 certification, showcasing their commitment to environmental protection. Visitors can explore the grounds, including the gardens and underground cellars that date back to the 16th century. The cellars are listed as Historical Monuments of France. Wine tours, cellar tours, and wine-tasting sessions are available, providing insights into the wine-making process. You can also stroll around the gardens. Various tour options are available, including a classic tour, a gourmet tour with cold meats and cheeses, and a cellar tour that grants access to the family's private cellar.
