From the central train station (Gare d'Avignon Centre), exit the station and head northeast on Rue de la République. Continue straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach Place de l'Horloge. From there, take Rue de la République toward Rue Joseph Vernet. After about 500 meters, turn left onto Rue de la Grande Fusterie, which will lead you to Place de l'Horloge. Walk through the square and continue on Rue de la République until you reach the Palais des Papes. After visiting the Palais, head to Rue Saint-Étienne and continue until you reach the bridge (Pont Saint-Bénézet). Cross the bridge and follow the signs for Nîmes. You will then take the train from the Avignon Centre station to Nîmes, which takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Nîmes, exit the station and walk southeast on Rue de la République for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Jardin de La Fontaine located at 26 Quai de la Fontaine.
