Rue de l'Oriflamme is located within the historic city center of Avignon and is best accessed on foot. From the Place de l'Horloge, walk south along Rue de la République. Turn left onto Rue Thiers, then take the first right onto Rue du Portail Matheron. Rue de l'Oriflamme will be on your left. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes. Note that the area is semi-pedestrianized.
Public Transport
If arriving by bus, the nearest bus stops are located on Place Pie or along Rue de la République. From either stop, walk towards Rue Thiers and then onto Rue du Portail Matheron to reach Rue de l'Oriflamme. A single bus ticket costs approximately €1.40. The Orizo network operates the public transport in Avignon.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services can drop you off near Place Pie or at the beginning of Rue de la République. From there, it's a short walk to Rue de l'Oriflamme. A short taxi ride within the city center will likely cost between €8-€12.
Driving
Driving directly to Rue de l'Oriflamme is not recommended due to its location in a semi-pedestrian zone. The closest parking is at Parking des Halles (paid parking, approximately €12/24 hours) or Parking des Italiens (free, with a shuttle 'Cityzen Italiens' to Place Pie). From Parking des Halles, it's a 5-minute walk. Enter the city center via Rue Thiers.
