Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Rocher des Doms park, head east towards the main pathway leading down the hill. As you walk, you will see the Palais des Papes in the distance. Follow the path downwards, and you'll reach the Rue de la République. Continue straight on this road until you see the large square in front of the Palais des Papes, known as Place du Palais.

  • Walking

    If you are near the entrance of the Rocher des Doms, take the steps leading down towards the Rue de la République. Once you reach the street, turn left and walk a few meters until you reach the Place du Palais. The Palais des Papes is directly in front of you.

  • Public Transport (Local Bus)

    If you prefer public transport, you can take bus line 3 from the nearby bus stop at Rocher des Doms. Board the bus towards 'Avignon Centre.' The ride will take approximately 5 minutes. Get off at the 'Palais des Papes' stop. From there, it's just a short walk to the entrance of the Palais.
