Walking
The Collection Lambert is centrally located within Avignon's historic city walls, making it easily accessible on foot from many points of interest. From the Palais des Papes, walk south along the Rue de la République, then turn left onto Rue Violette. The museum will be on your left. From Avignon Centre train station, it's a short 6-minute walk. Exit the station and walk straight ahead, following signs for the city center. Continue onto Rue de la République, then turn right onto Rue Violette.
Public Transport
Avignon's public transport network, Orizo, provides convenient access to the Collection Lambert. Several bus lines stop near the museum. Take bus lines C2, 4, 5, 6, 9, or 11 to the 'Gare Centre' stop, or lines 10, 16, 25, 26, or 27 to the 'Avignon Poste' stop. From either stop, it's a short walk to the museum. A single ticket costs €1.40.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available in Avignon. A short taxi ride from Avignon Centre train station to the Collection Lambert will cost approximately €8-€12, depending on traffic. Taxi ranks are located in front of the train station and other major tourist areas.
Driving
If driving, parking is available at the Jean Jaurès car park and the Avignon Centre train station car park, both within walking distance of the Collection Lambert. Parking fees typically range from €2-€3 per hour. To reduce congestion, Avignon also has a parking relais - park-and-ride - scheme. Free, guarded car-parks outside the city are linked to the centre by regular shuttle buses every five or ten minutes. The two largest are the Parking de l'Ile Piot with 1,100 spaces and the Parking des Italiens with 1,600 spaces.
