    From Nice, take the Train des Pignes to Entrevaux. The train journey takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Upon arrival at the Entrevaux train station (ENTREVAUX - GARE CPZou), it's a short, approximately 2-minute walk to the old village. Follow the road from the station towards the village entrance. The Porte Royale is easily visible. A one-way ticket from Nice to Entrevaux costs around €10. Tickets are sold on-site the same day of travel.

    If driving, follow the RN202 to Entrevaux. Parking is available near the train station (Parking de la Gare), a 2-minute walk from the village entrance. Parking is free. From the parking area, walk towards the village, crossing the bridge to reach the Porte Royale. Be aware that parking can be limited during peak season.

    Once inside the village, the Citadel is accessible via a paved, winding path that starts near the old powder magazine. The climb takes approximately 30 minutes. Before starting the ascent, purchase a 'jeton' (token) for the Citadel entrance from the Tourism Office or the automatic distributor near the entrance of the village. The token costs €3. Half-fare tokens for children are only sold at the Tourism Office.
