Local tips
- Purchase tickets online in advance, especially during peak season, to avoid long queues at the ticket office.

- Wear layers, even in summer, as the temperature changes dramatically between the valley floor and the summit.
- Take advantage of the free Chamonix bus service with your guest card to reach the cable car base station from anywhere in the valley.
- Consider hiking down from Planpraz instead of taking the gondola for stunning views and a more immersive experience.
