Public Transport
From anywhere in Chamonix, take the bus. Most buses stop at Chamonix Sud bus station. From there, walk down Rue du Lyret for about 5 minutes to reach the Aiguille du Midi cable car station. Alternatively, take the Mont Blanc Express train and get off at the 'Chamonix Aiguille du Midi' stop, a 5-minute walk to the station. Bus and train transport within Chamonix is free with a guest card provided by your accommodation. A single bus ticket without the guest card has a small charge.
Walking
From the Chamonix city center, the Aiguille du Midi cable car station is a 10-minute walk. Head southeast, following signs for the Aiguille du Midi. The station is located at 100 Place de l'Aiguille du Midi.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Chamonix. A short taxi ride from the city center to the Aiguille du Midi cable car station will cost approximately €10-€15. Ensure the taxi is licensed and agree on the fare beforehand.
Driving
If driving, paid parking is available near the Aiguille du Midi cable car station. The Centre Ville (Grépon) parking lot is a 5-minute walk away and offers long-term parking. The first hour is free, after which rates vary. Expect to pay around €16 for 15-24 hours. Limited free parking (30 minutes to 1 hour) can be found on Avenue de l'Aiguille du Midi. Be aware that parking in Chamonix can be challenging, especially during peak season.
