The Münstermarkt is centrally located in Freiburg's old town on Münsterplatz, making it easily accessible on foot from most central locations. From the Rathausplatz (City Hall Square), walk east, keeping the Freiburg Minster in sight. The market surrounds the cathedral. From the Augustinerplatz, head north towards the Kaiser-Joseph-Straße, then turn right onto Franziskanerstraße, which leads directly to the Münsterplatz. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes. Public Transport
Several tram lines stop near the Münstermarkt. The 'Bertoldstraße' stop is a central hub and is served by numerous tram lines (e.g., lines 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5). From Bertoldstraße, walk south along Kaiser-Joseph-Straße, then turn left onto Franziskanerstraße to reach Münsterplatz. Alternatively, the 'Oberlinden' stop is also close. A single ticket for a short trip (Kurzstrecke) on the tram costs approximately €1.80. From either stop, the walk to the market is no more than 5 minutes.
