Alternatively, from the Altstadt (Old Town), cross Karlsplatz and enter the Stadtgarten via the main entrance.

Several tram lines stop near the Stadtgarten. Take tram line 1 to the 'Bertoldsbrunnen' stop, then walk east along Leopoldring for about 5 minutes. Alternatively, take tram line 4 to the 'Stadttheater' stop, then walk north along Jacob-Burckhardt-Straße. A single tram fare within Freiburg (Zone A) costs €2.20.
