Travel Guide to Monument Sadi Carnot

Getting There

• Walking

  From Quartier de la Fontaine d'Ouche, head northeast on Rue des Écoles towards Rue de la Fontaine d'Ouche. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue des Templiers. Turn left onto Rue des Templiers and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rue de la République. Keep walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. The Monument Sadi Carnot is located at Place de la République, which will be on your right. You can’t miss it, as it’s a prominent landmark.

• Public Transport - Bus

  If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch bus line L3 from the bus stop 'Fontaine d'Ouche' (located near the entrance of the Quartier de la Fontaine d'Ouche). Purchase a ticket from the ticket machine at the bus stop (approximately €1.50). Board the bus and travel towards 'Lac Kir'. Get off at the stop 'Gare Routière', which is about a 15-minute ride. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to Monument Sadi Carnot. Exit the bus station and walk straight along Rue de la République until you reach Place de la République.

• Bicycle

  If you are comfortable cycling, consider renting a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Quartier de la Fontaine d'Ouche. After renting a bike, head northeast on Rue des Écoles and follow the same route as walking instructions. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on your cycling speed. Once you arrive at Place de la République, you can park your bike in the designated bike parking area nearby.
