Walking
If you are starting from the La Rochelle's Vieux Port (Old Port), head southwest towards the harbor promenade. Walk along the Quai Duperré, enjoying the scenic view of the boats. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue des Deux Moulins. Turn left onto Rue des Deux Moulins and follow it until you arrive at the Place de la Chaîne. From there, you should see La Tour St Nicolas towering nearby. Walk towards the tower, and you will find the entrance.

If you are near La Rochelle's central market (Marché Central), exit the market and head southwest on Rue de la Désirée. Continue walking until you reach the Rue de l'Yser, then turn left. Follow this road all the way to the harbor, where you will see the waterfront. Keep walking along the promenade by the harbor, and soon you will sight La Tour St Nicolas. Head directly towards the tower to reach your destination.
