If you are starting from La Rochelle's central train station (Gare de La Rochelle), exit the station and head towards the main road, Rue de la République. Turn right and walk towards the harbor area. Continue walking straight until you reach the Place de la République, a square with a fountain. From there, head straight to the waterfront (Quai Louis Durand). When you reach the waterfront, turn left and follow the promenade along the harbor. Continue walking along the Quai de la Rochelle until you see the Quai Duperré.
