Walking
From the La Rochelle Old Port, head south on Quai Louis Prunier towards Rue de la Fonderie. Continue straight until you reach Rue des Dames. Turn right onto Rue des Dames and walk until you reach Rue de la République. Turn left on Rue de la République, then turn right onto Rue de l'Église. Continue straight until you reach Place de Verdun. From there, take the path heading southeast which leads to Parc Alcide d'Orbigny. The park entrance will be on your left.

From La Rochelle Train Station (Gare de La Rochelle), take bus line 3 towards 'Les Minimes'. Get off at the 'Parc Alcide d'Orbigny' stop. The park is just a short walk from the bus stop; head south on Allée du Mail, and you will see the entrance to Parc Alcide d'Orbigny.

Rent a bike from one of the many bike rental stations in La Rochelle. Start from the Old Port and follow the bike lanes along the coast towards the east. Keep going until you reach the junction at Rue de la République. Turn left and follow the road until you reach Avenue de la République. Continue straight until you see the signs for Parc Alcide d'Orbigny, which will be on your right.
