Car
If you are traveling by car, take the D117 road towards Cucugnan. From the town of Carcassonne, head southwest on the D6113 until you reach the D117. Follow the D117 through the village of Tuchan and continue until you see signs for Cucugnan. Once you arrive in Cucugnan, look for the sign directing you to Château de Quéribus. There is a parking area available near the castle, but be aware that there may be a small parking fee.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train to the nearest major station, which is Carcassonne. From Carcassonne, you can catch a bus to Cucugnan. Look for the 'Carcassonne - Cucugnan' bus service, which operates several times a day. Once you arrive in Cucugnan, the Château de Quéribus is about a 30-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs towards the castle, which will lead you uphill through scenic paths. Note that bus schedules may vary, so it's wise to check them in advance.
Walking
If you are already in Cucugnan and prefer to walk, start from the main square of the village. Head towards the east side of the village where you will find signs pointing to Château de Quéribus. The walk to the castle is approximately 1.5 kilometers and will take you about 30 minutes. The path is steep in sections, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially during the warmer months.
