Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Les Deux Alpes, start by heading south on Avenue de la Muzelle towards Route du Petit Plan. Continue on this road for about 1.5 km until you reach the turnoff for D213. Turn left onto D213 and follow the road for approximately 10 km. You will then reach the town of Huez. Once in Huez, follow the signs for Rte des Lacs. The road will lead you directly to Lac Besson, which is located on Rte des Lacs. Parking is available near the lake, but be aware that there may be parking fees during peak tourist seasons.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Lac Besson using public transportation, you can take a bus from Les Deux Alpes to Huez. Look for the local bus service; the bus stop is located near the main square of Les Deux Alpes. The bus ride to Huez takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Huez, you will need to walk to Rte des Lacs. The walk is about 3 km from the bus stop and will take around 40 minutes. Follow the signs for Rte des Lacs, and you will arrive at Lac Besson. Note that bus schedules may vary, so check the local timetable for the most accurate departure times.

• Hiking

  For those who prefer hiking, you can also reach Lac Besson on foot from Les Deux Alpes. Start by heading towards the ski lift stations and follow the marked hiking trails that lead to Huez. The hike is approximately 8 km and takes around 2 to 2.5 hours. The trails are well-marked, and you will enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains along the way. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and bring water and snacks with you.
