Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Limoges. Take the N147 road towards Bellac. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit towards D12. Continue on D12 for about 15 kilometers until you reach the village of Bessines. Look for signs indicating 'Cascades de Bessines' as you approach the area. There is free parking available near the entrance to the cascades.
Public Transportation
To reach Cascades de Bessines using public transportation, take a train from Limoges to Bellac. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bellac station, you can take a local bus towards Bessines (check the local timetable for bus schedules). After arriving in Bessines, follow the signs for 'Cascades de Bessines.' The walk from the bus stop to the cascades is approximately 1.5 kilometers. Make sure to check the bus return schedules to ensure you have a ride back to Bellac.
Walking
If you find yourself in the village of Bessines after using public transport, you can easily walk to the Cascades de Bessines. From the center of Bessines, head north on Rue des Ecoles which will lead you to a path through the woods that leads directly to the cascades. The walk should take around 20 minutes. Make sure to wear proper walking shoes as the path may be uneven.
