Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards Arnac-Pompadour. Use the A20 motorway, which connects major cities in Limousin. Take the exit 44 towards Brive-la-Gaillarde, then continue on D1089 towards Arnac-Pompadour. Follow the signs for Château de Pompadour as you approach the town. The castle is located at 19230 Arnac-Pompadour, and there is parking available on-site. Note that there might be a small fee for parking, so keep some coins handy.

• Train and Bus

  For those using public transportation, start by taking a train to Brive-la-Gaillarde from your location in Limousin. Once you arrive at Brive-la-Gaillarde train station, exit and look for the bus stop for the regional bus service. Take the bus heading towards Arnac-Pompadour. You will need to check the bus schedule in advance as they may not run frequently. Once you reach Arnac-Pompadour, the Château de Pompadour is within walking distance from the bus stop. The bus fare will be approximately €2-€5 depending on your starting point.

• Taxi

  Alternatively, if you prefer not to drive or use public transport, you can take a taxi from Brive-la-Gaillarde to Château de Pompadour. Taxis are available outside the train station. The ride will take about 30 minutes and will cost around €40-€60 depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
