From Strasbourg, take the A35 highway towards Colmar. Exit at 'Sélestat' and follow the D424 towards Orschwiller. Continue on the D159 until you reach Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg. There is a parking area available near the castle, which usually incurs a fee of approximately €5 for the day.

Start by taking a train from Strasbourg to Sélestat. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Sélestat, exit the train station and look for the bus stop for Line 500 towards 'Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg'. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Note that the bus may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. The total cost for the train and bus can be around €10-€15.

If you're already in Orschwiller, you can reach the castle on foot. From the village center, follow the signs leading to Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg. The walk is approximately 45 minutes uphill, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a moderate hike.
