Getting There

• Car

  From anywhere in Lorraine, head towards Metz via the A31 motorway. If you are driving from Nancy, take the A31 directly to Metz, which should take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Metz, follow signs for the city center. Park your car at one of the public parking facilities such as 'Parking République' located near the city center. From there, it’s a short walk to Le Sentier des Lanternes at Tour du Square Boufflers.

• Train

  If you prefer using public transportation, take a train to Metz from cities like Nancy, Strasbourg, or Luxembourg. The train station in Metz (Gare de Metz-Ville) is well connected. Upon arrival, exit the station and head towards the city center. You can either walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) or take bus line 3 or 4 from the station to the 'Place de la République' stop. From there, it’s just a 5-minute walk to Le Sentier des Lanternes.

• Bus

  For those using regional buses, check the schedules for services to Metz. Upon arriving at the Metz bus station, follow signs to the city center. You can walk about 20 minutes or take local bus line 3 or 4 to 'Place de la République', which is close to Le Sentier des Lanternes. Be sure to check the local bus schedules for any fares, typically around €1.50 for a single journey.
