Driving
From Bagnères-de-Bigorre, follow the D918 south towards La Mongie. The drive is approximately 20km and takes around 30 minutes, depending on road conditions. Be aware that the road can be winding and steep in places. Parking is available in La Mongie, but it can be limited during peak season. Parking fees vary, with hourly rates around €2 and daily rates around €10.
Public Transport
From Lourdes or Tarbes, take the liO bus service (route 960 or 962) to Bagnères-de-Bigorre. From Bagnères-de-Bigorre, transfer to the La Mongie SKIBUS (route 960) during the winter season or route 962 during the summer. The bus journey from Bagnères-de-Bigorre to La Mongie takes approximately 45 minutes. A single bus fare costs around €2.
Cable Car
To reach the summit of Pic du Midi from La Mongie, take the Téléphérique du Pic du Midi. The cable car departs regularly from La Mongie and takes you to the summit in about 15 minutes, with a change at the intermediate station. A round-trip ticket costs €49 for adults and €30 for children under 18.
