Getting There

Train
From Lyon, head to Lyon Part-Dieu train station. You can take the metro line B to get there from the city center. Once at Part-Dieu, purchase a ticket for the TER (regional train) to Ampuis. The train ride will take approximately 25 minutes. Get off at Ampuis station. From the station, exit and turn left onto Avenue de la Gare, then take a right onto Rue de la République. Continue straight until you reach Avenue du Château, where you will find Château d'Ampuis.

Public Bus
From Lyon city center, you can take the bus line 40 from the stop at Lyon - Gare Saint-Paul. The bus will take you directly to Ampuis. The journey takes about 35 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Ampuis - Gare' then walk along Avenue du Château until you reach the Château d'Ampuis.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle at one of the many Vélo'v stations in Lyon. Head towards the Rhône river and follow the banks north toward Vienne.
