Walking
If you are starting from the Croix-Rousse area, head down Rue de la République towards the Rhône River. Continue straight until you reach Place des Terreaux. From here, you will see the Palais des Beaux-Arts on your right. Cross the river via the Pont de la Guillotière, and stay on the main road (Quai de la Pêcherie) as you walk along the riverbank. After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the entrance to Île du Souvenir. The Monument aux Morts de l'île du Souvenir is located at the far end of the island.

Public Transport - Metro
From Croix-Rousse, take Metro Line C at Croix-Rousse station towards Gare de Vaise. Get off at the Hôtel de Ville - Louis Pradel station. Transfer to Metro Line A towards Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie and get off at the next stop, Cordeliers Bourse. From here, exit the station and head towards Rue de la République. Walk down towards the Rhône River and cross over the Pont de la Guillotière. Follow the riverbank as described in the walking option above. Expect to spend around €1.90 for a single metro ticket.

You can take Bus Line C13 from Croix-Rousse (stop: Croix-Rousse) towards Gare Part-Dieu. Get off at the stop named 'Perrache'. From Perrache, walk towards the Rhône River and cross the Pont de la Guillotière. Follow the riverbank to Île du Souvenir as described earlier. The bus ticket costs approximately €1.90.
