    Getting There

    Walking

    From the Vieux Lyon Metro Station (Line D), exit and head northwest towards Rue du Bât d'Argent. Continue walking straight until you reach the Place Saint-Jean, a large square. From there, take the Rue du Doyenné, which is located to the left of the square. Continue walking straight for about 5 minutes, and you will find Quartier Saint-Georges at 46 Rue du Doyenné. This route will take you through the vibrant streets of Vieux Lyon, giving you a taste of the local atmosphere.

    Public Transport (Funicular)

    If you are near the Vieux Lyon Metro Station, you can take the funicular (Funiculaire de Saint-Just) to the top of Fourvière Hill. The ticket for the funicular costs approximately €2, which you can purchase at the station. Once you arrive at the top, enjoy the panoramic views of Lyon, then descend by walking back down towards the Vieux Lyon area. Head towards Rue du Doyenné to reach Quartier Saint-Georges. This option allows you to experience a scenic ride while avoiding a steep climb.

    If you are at the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, walk down the steps leading to the Rue de la République. Continue straight until you reach the Place Saint-Jean, then turn left onto Rue du Doyenné. After a short walk of about 10 minutes, you will arrive at Quartier Saint-Georges. This route is quite enjoyable as it offers views of the historical architecture unique to Vieux Lyon.
