Le Silo: Marseille's Converted Grain Elevator

Le Silo, located at 35 Quai du Lazaret in Marseille's 2nd arrondissement, is more than just a performance venue; it's a symbol of the city's commitment to preserving its industrial past while embracing a vibrant future. The transformation was designed and carried out by C+T Architecture, in association with scenographers Ducks Scéno, technical design office SLH Ingénierie, and Atelier Rouch for acoustic studies. Today, Le Silo stands as a versatile and adaptable performance space. Its Italian-style theater, complete with three balconies, can accommodate up to 2,050 people, hosting an average of 80 shows per year. The venue's program includes a diverse range of performances, from classical music and dance to theater and comedy.
