Car
If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto the A61 or A62 motorway, depending on your starting location in Midi-Pyrénées. Follow the signs towards Toulouse. Once you arrive in Toulouse, take the exit for D813, Av. de Lardenne/Av. de la Garonne. Continue on D813 and then turn onto Rue de la Garonne. Follow this street until you see signs for Canal de Brienne. The canal is located in the city center, and there are parking options available nearby (check for paid parking).
Train
For those using public transportation, take a train to Toulouse Matabiau Station, which is well connected to various cities in Midi-Pyrénées. Once you arrive at the station, exit and head towards the bus stop located outside the station. Take bus line 10 or 14, which will take you towards the city center. Get off at the 'Canal de Brienne' stop. The canal is a short walk from the bus stop.
Metro
Alternatively, if you prefer the metro, after arriving at Toulouse Matabiau Station, you can walk to the nearest metro station, 'Jean-Jaurès'. From there, take Metro Line A (the red line) towards Basso Cambo. Transfer at 'Esquirol' to Line B (the blue line) towards Ramonville. Get off at 'Jean-Jaurès' and walk approximately 10 minutes towards Canal de Brienne. You can follow the signs for the canal, which is a popular destination.
Bus
If you're already in Toulouse and want to use the bus system, you can take lines 14, 10, or 33 which stop near Canal de Brienne. Make sure to check the current schedule and routes, as they may vary. The fare for a single bus journey is typically around €1.70. You can purchase tickets at the bus station or via the Tisséo app.
