Getting There

Car
If you're starting from the city of Cahors, take the D811 road towards Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. Continue on D811 until you reach the turn-off for the D19 road towards Cabrerets. Follow the D19 until you reach Cabrerets. In Cabrerets, follow signs for Pech Merle. The parking area is located just a short walk from the entrance of the caves.

From the Cahors train station, take a train to the nearest major station, which is Figeac. Once at Figeac, you can take a local bus (Ligne 23) towards Cabrerets. The bus will drop you off near the village. From there, follow the signs to Pech Merle, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you are already in Cabrerets, you can easily walk to Pech Merle. From the village center, head towards the D19 road and follow the signs leading you to the caves. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
