Bus
From Nancy, head to the Nancy Gare (Train Station) which is centrally located. Take bus line 22 towards Metz. After approximately 40 minutes, get off at Metz, Gare routière (Bus Station). From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Metz Cathedral. Exit the bus station, head south on Rue de la Gare, then turn left onto Rue de Serpenoise. Continue walking straight until you reach Place de Chambre, where the cathedral is located.
Train
Make your way to Nancy Ville train station. Purchase a ticket for a train to Metz. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Metz station, exit the station and head towards the city center. Follow the signs to Place de Chambre. The cathedral is a short 15-minute walk from the station. Simply walk straight down Rue de la Gare and then turn left onto Rue de Serpenoise, leading you directly to the cathedral.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Nancy and cycle to Metz. Start by heading towards the Canal de la Marne au Rhin, which provides a scenic route. Follow the canal path to Metz, which is approximately 30 kilometers away. The ride will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Metz, navigate towards Place de Chambre, where the cathedral is located.
Walking
If you're already in Metz and want to walk to the cathedral, start at Place de la République, a central square in Metz. From there, take Rue de la République heading northeast until it intersects with Rue de Serpenoise. Turn left onto Rue de Serpenoise, and continue walking until you reach Place de Chambre, where Metz Cathedral is located. It should take around 20 minutes on foot.
