From Nice, head to the Nice-Ville train station, which is located at 1 Avenue Thiers. You can walk there from the city center, or take tram line 1 to the 'Gare Thiers' stop. Once at the train station, purchase a ticket to Villefranche-sur-Mer. Trains run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. Board the train heading toward Ventimiglia. After a short 10-minute ride, disembark at the Villefranche-sur-Mer station. The station is a short walk from the center of the village.

To reach Villefranche-sur-Mer by bus, head to the bus stop located at 'Gare Routière' (the main bus station) in Nice, which is near the Nice-Ville train station. Look for bus number 81, which goes directly to Villefranche-sur-Mer. The journey takes about 30 minutes, and buses run regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive at the 'Villefranche-sur-Mer' bus stop, you will be in close proximity to the main attractions and the waterfront.

If you're feeling adventurous and are staying in the nearby neighborhoods, you can walk to Villefranche-sur-Mer along the scenic coastal path. Starting from the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, head east until you reach the Port of Nice. From there, follow the coastal path along the waterfront, which will take you through beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. The walk is approximately 8 kilometers and will take around 2 hours. Follow the signs for Villefranche-sur-Mer along the way.
