  • Walking

    Start at the Promenade des Anglais, the famous waterfront promenade in Nice. Head northeast towards Avenue de Verdun, passing by the beautiful Hotel Negresco. Continue straight on Avenue de Verdun until you reach Place Massena, the central square of Nice. From Place Massena, take Rue de France heading east, which will lead you towards the old town (Vieux Nice). Once you reach the Promenade du Paillon park, continue straight until you arrive at Rue Alfred Mortier. Turn left onto Rue Alfred Mortier and follow it as it turns into Rue de Cimiez. Continue up this road until you reach Cimiez Monastery located at Place Jean-Paul II Pape, 06000 Nice. The walk should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

    From the Nice Ville train station, walk to the tram stop located just outside the station. Take Tram Line 1 (the yellow line) heading towards Hôpital Pasteur. Get off at the 'Cimiez' stop. Once you exit the tram, you will be very close to Cimiez Monastery. Walk uphill on Avenue de la République and then turn right onto Rue de Cimiez. Continue until you reach Place Jean-Paul II Pape, where Cimiez Monastery is located. The entire journey should take about 20 minutes.

    From the central area of Nice, head to the bus stop 'Jean Médecin' located near the Galeries Lafayette. Take Bus Line 15 or 17, both of which head towards Cimiez.
