Getting there

Train

From Nice, head to Nice Ville train station. You can take tram line 1 towards 'Henri Sappia' and get off at the last stop. Then, walk to the train station, which is just a few minutes away. Purchase a ticket to Monaco. Trains run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Monaco-Monte Carlo station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Avenue de la République.

Bus

From any point in Nice, make your way to the bus stop at 'Promenade des Anglais'. Board bus line 100 towards Menton. This bus will take you along the coast, and you can enjoy beautiful views. After about 45 minutes, get off the bus at 'Monaco, Place d'Armes'. From there, walk up the hill to find the François Grimaldi Statue, which is a short walk away from the main square.

Walking

If you are in the central area of Nice, the François Grimaldi Statue is quite far to walk directly. However, if you are near the harbor, you can enjoy a scenic walk along the coastline to the train station where you can catch a train to Monaco. The train station is about a 30-minute walk from the central promenade.
